The Union County Yellow Jackets defeated Saluda 7-3 in the finale of the Union County Scrimmage on Friday at Union County Stadium.
Michael Mebane scored on a short touchdown run with 7:20 left to give the Jackets the win. Another highlight was Kyle Tranthamıs interception in the first quarter.
UCHS used Keiston Stevens and Nick Monroe at quarterback.
"We made some good things happen on offense and defensively we held when we had to," said Jacket coach David Lipsey. "There were some little breakdowns. We'll take the good with the bad and go back to work."
UCHS begins the 2008 season on Friday, hosting Chester.
The rest of the jamboree featured former Union High School assistant coaches, who now are head coaches at other schools.

Emerald is coached by Mike Clowney and Chapman by Kevin Farmer.
